The Darling Downs Health Innovation and Research Collaborative (DDHIRC) invite you to their inaugural DDHIRC networking symposium for an opportunity to meet and discuss key challenges for health and research in the region.

Symposium attendees will include university researchers and frontline health staff from partner organisations including, Darling Downs Health, St Andrews Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba, Darling Downs & West Moreton PHN, Rural Medical Education, Southern Queensland Rural Health, University of Southern Queensland, and the Rural Clinical School, UQ.

You have been identified as a topic leader on one of DDHIRC’s 5 priority areas:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
  • Obesity in rural and regional communities including impact on clinical care
  • Chronic disease prevention and service models in rural and regional communities
  • Rural workforce development through the translational research lens
  • Access to health services and equity of health outcomes in rural and regional communities

Your attendance will assist in identifying key challenges in the DDHIRC priorities and how the collaborative may support these issues through research.
