Join TSBE’s SQ Export Hub at our upcoming New Zealand Business Breakfast event delivered in partnership with Trade & Investment Queensland.

As Queensland companies continue to recover from COVID-19, New Zealand is considered an ideal first export market, due to its proximity, relative ease of entry, similar culture, legal systems, and business practices. In 2021, New Zealand was the 12th-largest export market for Queensland goods. Queensland goods exports to New Zealand were worth $1,166.8 million in 2021 and New Zealand has been identified as a market with great potential for expansion.

This breakfast will provide market insights for our Oil, Gas and Energy Resource sectors and Food & Agribusiness sectors who are looking to capture new business opportunities in New Zealand.

The breakfast will feature speakers:

  • Michael Carey, Chief Executive Officer at Trade and Investment Queensland
  • Richard Simpson, Director Business Development at Trade and Investment Queensland, New Zealand
  • Phillipa Hawken, Senior Business Development Manager, Australian Trade and Investment Commission in Auckland (online)

The breakfast will also feature a panel discussion of successful Toowoomba businesses including:

  • Michael Kemp, General Manager, New Generation Building Materials
  • Quentin Kennedy, Director, Kialla Pure Foods
