Workshop: On Farm Biosecurity for Animal Industries
Join us for the next Small Group Discussion Workshop: On Farm Biosecurity for Animal Industries.
Now is an essential time for your farm and for your businesses to continually review and implement biosecurity action plans to successfully manage and prevent biosecurity risks including significant exotic diseases like foot-and-mouth disease, African swine fever, and diseases endemic in the country such as Enzootic Pneumonia.
This workshop will look at the current global production animal disease situation, national, local, and farm health status issues and will discuss the best biosecurity management practice protocols and plans for on-farm biosecurity risks across animal industries.
In this 3-hour workshop APIAM Animal Health Swine and Poultry will be discussing:
- Global production animal disease epidemics, outbreaks, and outlook
- Best on-farm biosecurity management practices, examples, and protocols
- Requirements to allow law enforcement implementation of the recent changes to the QLD Biosecurity Act (i.e. non-trespass/biosecurity laws)
- Outbreak preparedness and response
Today more than ever, it is important to conduct regular ‘health checks’ across all areas of your business. We encourage you and your staff to stay well connected and take the time to invest in upskilling opportunities. It is a chance to refresh and improve business management skills, whether it be attending a short webinar or a detailed industry-to-industry learning experience.
In partnership with TAFE Queensland, TSBE have been working with our members as well as food and agricultural communities to understand the skills shortages in the agricultural industry as well as future learning and upskilling requirements.
