June Virtual Meet Up

We invite you to join us for a Virtual Meet Up on Tuesday 21 June to hear about the new innovation challenge to tackle big issues in horticulture.

This is the second Open Innovation Challenge run by the Agtech and Logistics Hub, and applications are now open. The Hub – in conjunction with UQ, USQ, FKG Group, Telstra, TSBE and Advance Queensland – is running the challenge to identify how inorganic waste can be reduced in the horticulture industry.  

The Agtech and Logistics Hub is looking for innovators to reduce the amount of inorganic waste used in horticulture in three key areas:

1. Innovative solutions to avoid, replace, treat or reduce any inorganic waste inputs
2. Reduction of single-use plastics with a competitive recyclable product across production and supply chain
3. Solutions that turn inorganic waste into a valuable and profitable resource creating options for a circular economy in horticulture

The challenge is beneficial for early-stage start-ups and scale-ups seeking support to grow and access customers and connect with industry partners to further validate their innovations. It is also beneficial for suppliers with in-market products or services relevant to the challenge, and those involved in plastic innovation related research projects. 

This online event is one not to miss if you are a grower in the horticulture sector, an innovator currently working in this sector, or someone wishing to create an impact through this challenge.
