October Meet Up at Boomaroo Nurseries

Join us for the next TSBE Food Leaders Australia Meet Up on Thursday, October 24. This Meet Up will be the first event at Boomaroo Southbrook, the recently completed and most efficient vegetable seedling nursery in the Southern Hemisphere.

Boomaroo Nurseries is an established national, family-owned entity. The business has been providing vegetable seedlings from its Victorian Lara Facility for the last 30+ years, expanding into the Queensland market for the last seven years. 

Boomaroo's expertise and track record deploying innovative growing technology will provide attendees with a great opportunity to see first hand the future of horticulture. The total sum of their innovation is nowhere more evident than in the quality of their plants. 

Located within South East Queensland’s prime agricultural hub, Boomaroo Nurseries’ Southbrook expansion project signifies the emergence of a new era in Australian horticulture. Boomaroo Southbrook is home to state-of-the-art automation processes and a world-class growing system that provides farmers with a reliable supply of quality seedlings. Precision seedling allows for both the optimisation of grow profiles and crop uniformity. 

Attendees will be able to view the automation systems, including a demonstration of the sowing line and plants being loaded into the germination room. All of which highlights the efficiencies of no-touch growing. Growers are able to use tablets to control Boomaroo Nurseries' no-touch growing system, that has set the world best practice benchmark for vegetable production.
