2018 Vinnies CEO Sleepout

On Thursday 21st June, Vinnies CEO Kathryn McKeefry will be sleeping outside at the Brisbane Powerhouse as part of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout 2018. Why? To bring the issue of homelessness out of the shadows. 

105,000 Australians — everyday people like you and me — experience homelessness every night.  This is devastating, particularly when you learn 27% are children.

Homelessness has many faces. The reality is often quite different from what you might think.

Australians believe 10% of our homeless population are women.  It’s actually 44%.

 A donation of just $50 can provide warm blankets and a meal to someone facing homelessness, and $100 can keep a family’s power on this winter.

This year Kathryn is aiming to raise $5,000.  To get there, she needs your help.  Donations are tax deductible and can be processed online.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is proud to support the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland, which helped more than 300,000 Queenslanders in 2016-17.  The Vinnies CEO Sleepout® is one of the organisation’s biggest fundraising initiatives.  Funds raised through the event will allow Vinnies to continue to provide immediate and emergency assistance to those in need, and support pathways to break the cycle of homelessness.
