Rural Economies Centre of Excellence Forum
Proceedings will commence on the evening of Tuesday October 1st with a Public Lecture by Professor Geoff Cockfield commencing at 5:30pm with refreshments provided afterwards.
The Annual Forum will then take place on Wednesday October 2nd from 9am to 5pm. The Hon Mark Furner, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries will open a forum that will cover the research work undertaken and in progress from this unique collaboration of four Universities across Queensland.
The forum will be interactive in format and allowing participants to contribute on a range of topics that are impacting contemporary rural economies.
From innovation and employment, low carbon futures to value chains and energy, RECoE has undertaken an ambitious range of projects with some of our state’s most experienced researchers.
The Allison Dickson lecture theatre USQ campus in Toowoomba will be the main venue.
