Hear from TRC Mayor Paul Antonio as he shares vision and future of the region at March Enterprise Evening

TRC Mayor Paul Antonio will headline the TSBE Enterprise Evening held in Toowoomba with his address on the State of the Region, to highlight the current state of play of the region, and more importantly share his vision for the future of the region.

The region is experiencing growth in many of its major sectors including manufacturing, retail, tourism, education and defence.

Business expansions, upgrades and new projects continue to dominate the news headlines, with the Toowoomba Region picked as “the Miracle City” (Courier Mail – Go QLD) for its company growth, attraction, and livability.

Cr Antonio said the Toowoomba Region was set to further its standing as the economic powerhouse of regional Queensland.

“We really are the envy of Australia, with unemployment consistently well below the national average, at just 4%, $13 billion of investment projects in the pipeline, and continuing to offer a lifestyle that combines the very best of city conveniences with the fresh air, affordability and community spirit of a thriving regional city,” Cr Antonio said.

“I look forward to sharing with TSBE members a snapshot of the raft of positive development that’s underway across our region, and Council’s vision for the future.”

TSBE executive chairman Shane Charles said this event was a great opportunity for businesses to hear what was ahead.

“The Toowoomba Regional Council really does have a bold ambition for sustainable growth and development,” Mr Charles said.

“We see that in the beautification and heritage revitalization projects in the CBD and look forward to the developments at the Toowoomba Enterprise Hub and the Toowoomba Railway Parklands just to name a few.”

“With our population predicted to surge to 205,025 by 2036 and our road network significantly upgraded this session is a chance to explore the region’s future from a business and industry perspective.”
