How you can fly direct from Toowoomba to Hong Kong for $650

Tourists, jetsetters and business people are invited to join the Access Hong Kong milestone flight from Wellcamp Airport to Hong Kong for just $650.

Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise executive chairman Shane Charles said the one-way flights from Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport to Hong Kong would highlight the region’s tourism and connectivity possibilities.

This flight marks the first, and biggest, international passenger flight out of Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport, on a Qantas B747-400, subject to government and regulatory approvals.

“Five years ago we could only dream of flying internationally from Toowoomba, now with the second international passenger flight, this really is the next milestone for the region and a way to open up our links to the world,” Mr Charles said.

“We are offering those wanting to be part of the journey a chance to join us, and see Hong Kong your way.”

The Darling Downs and wider region has a renewed focus on tourism, and what better story than offering our region an international reach.

“What our region now offers is remarkable, and we want people to pack their bags and join us on the journey,” Mr Charles said.

“The flight is also an extended opportunity to network and meet with a wide range of industries from construction to agriculture, councils, developers and finance and services sectors.”

Photographers, videographers and media will also join Access Hong Kong to share our region’s story with the world.

The Darling Downs had $3.2billion worth of agricultural production in 2014-2015, 27% of the state total.

The September 3-7 Access Hong Kong trip is set to allow producers and businesses to explore the Asian markets and finance hub.

“On a recent planning trip to Hong Kong we’ve seen what the Pullman Hotel and the area around it offers. From boutique stores, culinary experiences, gala events and night racing, it’s all there. Hong Kong places itself as the gateway to China and Asia, and is an eye-opening experience not to be missed,” Mr Charles said.

The latest program has been released and TSBE and Food Leaders Australia are updating the program all the time to give greater value to our delegates. Recent Access Hong Kong partner Trade and Investment Queensland has come on board and are helping us expand our offering to suit those on the trip.”
