Toowoomba-based TSBE silver members TrackSpares secure $1million distribution contract

A TOOWOOMBA-BASED civil construction, quarrying and mining industries supply company has further expanded its scope to become the official distributor for Kennametal products throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory, a contract worth an estimated $1million over a two-year period for the business.

The offering of domestic freight operation from Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport is successfully opening the skies for new business opportunities for the region. Trackspares have welcomed continued growth to their product and service lines as a direct result of the regions constant progression.

“There was once a time in our industry where basing yourself in a regional centre would limit your service capabilities drastically – a sacrifice that would affect the bottom line,” Brad Oats, Managing Director of Trackspares Australia said.

Thanks to advances in local infrastructure, Trackspares has welcomed this continued gowth.

“It was identified that Kennametal’s large inventory would be best kept locally to Toowoomba to allow for better distribution into the designated areas throughout wider Queensland and the Northern Territory” Mr Oats said.

“With local infrastructure continuing to progress, opportunities are opened not only for us but for large national and international companies to access our services” Brad added.

“Silver members Trackspares are a great example of a company making the most of the infrastructure development in the region by bringing more services here,” Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise executive chairman Shane Charles said.

“Infrastructure brings opportunity and by growing the local offering of products and services Toowoomba and the wider region can further develop as businesses make the most of the $13billion of developments here,” Mr Charles said.

Trackspares Australia will distribute foundation drilling, road rehabilitation, trenching and surface mining tools by the global Kennametal brand and both companies are excited by the new partnership opportunities.

“Trackspares enthusiasm, attention to detail and drive for success, is what sets them apart from the rest. Kennametal’s range of carbide earth cutting tools compliments Trackspares product portfolio and allows them to service the Toowoomba region with market leading product and local know how” said Kennametal representative Clinton Browne.

“The agreement allows to access areas of the market that we may not have worked in before. This obviously further broadens our scope and allows for more economic benefit to flow back to the Toowoomba region” Trackspares Australia Managing Director Brad Oats said.
