We had over 260 attendees at our ‘State of the Region’ February Enterprise Evening to hear from industry leaders as they discussed opportunities for 2019. Roma Enterprise Evening - 14 March

Our Roma events provide a great opportunity to  build your regional networks, and hear from a great lineup of speakers including Santos Executive Vice President Onshore Upstream, David Banks.

There will also be a construction update on the Roma hospital redevelopment from principle contractor Watpac's Project Manager, as well as an update from Senex on their projects in the region. 

WD Development Status Report 

TSBE partnered with Western Downs Regional Council to produce the Western Downs Development Status Report.  

This report identified over $7 billion of investment in development projects in the Western Downs region as of January 2019.

Surat Basin Industry Classic

A fantastic golf day was had by all at our Surat Basin Industry Classic!

First Meat Up for 2019

The first Meat Up for 2019 was held at Toowoomba Central Plaza Apartment Hotel on 27 February.

This Meat Up provided attendees the chance to catch up with the wider FLA community in a casual environment. The next FLA event after the Intensive Animal Industry conference will be on 2 April in Roma.

Agriculture Centre for Excellence

Nine Food and Ag Industry leaders met with senior representatives from TAFE Queensland recently to start engagement regarding the set up an Agricultural Centre for Excellence in the region.

Regional Medical Specialists Association (RMSA) National Conference 

On 25 May, TSBE is hosting the RMSA national conference in Toowoomba. This conference will see medical specialists from regional Australia come together to work towards a stronger and properly resourced workforce with better health outcomes for regional patients.

Workplace Wellness Coordinator Group

TSBE Health has pulled together a number of Workplace Wellness Coordinators from our membership base.

We are working with these coordinators to develop a Regional Workplace Wellness Strategy and Regional Wellness Calendar.

By working together we can share resources, find efficiencies and produce better program outcomes.
