Our May Enterprise Evening was very successful with over 300 attendees packing into Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport to hear from Paget Hardgreaves, Director of Asterion Australia's medicinal cannabis venture. We also heard about two other development projects at Wellcamp Business Park - the Qantas Pilot Training Academy and RSPCA Queensland's new facility. 

 

The TSBE Energy and Infrastructure team attended the APPEA 2019 Oil and Gas Conference in Brisbane to learn more on gas and how we can continue to grow and develop the gas sector in the Surat. We hosted an information session on the SQ Export Hub at APPEA as we’re looking to promote local businesses who have innovated in the Surat Basin around gas and take their technology to other countries.

 

The SQ Export Hub will also benefit local food and ag producers and help develop greater exports from our region. TSBE’s Food Leaders Australia has been working hard to set up the structure of the hub and we’re looking to employ two staff members in the near future.
 

TSBE has held many impressive events for the region this month, including the Regional Medical Specialists Association National Conference, a Women in Health event and promoting the first seedling sowing for Boomaroo Nurseries.

Join us on Thursday, June 20 for our next Enterprise evening in Chinchilla.

 

On the night we will hear project updates from a great line-up of speakers. They will be talking about major projects, future works likely in the coming months and supply chain opportunities.

From Origin, Andrew Brier, Manager - Stakeholder Engagement and Strategy & Alexandra Kennedy-Clark - General Manager, Condabri Talinga Orana Asset will be speaking on Origin/APLNG's current and future plans in the region.

 

Decmil will be presenting and providing an update on their current activities.

 

Jemena will provide an introduction on their business and an update on the construction of the $140 million Atlas Gas Pipeline Project.
