TSBE in partnership with Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ), are delivering a range of workshops across our region as part of CSQ’s Small Business Program. These workshops have helped many small to medium businesses working in the construction industry and supply chain to operate more efficiently and build on their knowledge of essential business operations.

In addition to these workshops, we are hosting a Professional Development day which will support emerging leaders and middle management teams to retain skilled staff in our region. The key topics will include:

  • Operating efficiently
  • Procurement and Contract management
  • Marketing
  • Personal leadership

Feedback from local businesses working in the construction industry who have attended the CSQ Small Business Program indicated there is a strong interest in these topics. The presenters delivering on these topics are experts in their industry who will provide SMEs with information to effectively communicate and promote their capability and presence in the region. It will also help improve company policies and procedures to ensure businesses are maximising their chances for future opportunities.

The workshop will conclude with networking and guest speaker Rob McNamara from Australian Rail Track Corporation speaking about his leadership journey.

The Professional Development day will be held at Oaks Hotel Toowoomba on July 28, from 11am – 4:30pm.
