June Enterprise Evening 2022
We invite you to join us for the next Toowoomba Enterprise Evening on Thursday 9 June which will focus on Inland Rail with the keynote presentation from the awarded proponent delivering the Central Civil Works Program of the Inland Rail project.
Project Director for the Freight Connect Consortium, Reese Deaves will be discussing the Central Civil Works Program, as well as supply chain opportunities that will come out of this activity.
Freight Connect, a consortium led by Laing O’Rourke and includes FKG Group, will engage local businesses and leave a positive legacy in each of the local communities along the alignment of this once-in-a-generation piece of infrastructure which will provide an economic stimulus.
This section of Inland Rail includes approximately 86km between North Star in New South Wales and Whetstone in Queensland, as well as a separate approximately 14km segment north of Moree, called Narrabri to North Star Separable Portion 2. The North Star to NSW/QLD Border project sits within the Central Civil Works Program.
Toowoomba Region Mayor Paul Antonio and Member for Toowoomba South, David Janetzki, will be participating in a State of the Region panel discussion, to discuss investment opportunities and growth areas of focus for Local and State Government.
