Please join us for our next Enterprise Evening in Chinchilla, the Hydrogen Summit Enterprise Evening, where we will hear from national and global experts on hydrogen. We will also be updated on a Hydrogen project looking to develop in our region.

The speakers include:

  • Prof Ian Mackinnon, Centre for Clean Energy Technologies and Practices
  • Emma Roberts, Head of Future Energy at CS Energy
  • Leigh Kennedy, NERA's National Cluster Development Manager

Commercial production of hydrogen might be the next opportunity for the growing diversity of energy production in the Surat Basin.

As we move toward a transition to renewable energy production, the commercial establishment of next-generation hydrogen production will help ensure we maintain our regions’ title of Energy Capital of Queensland….maybe even Australia!

There is both global and domestic demand for hydrogen, which together with emissions targets, are driving the development of hydrogen projects. Our region is strategically located to embrace hydrogen development to accelerate the reduction in our carbon footprint and cost base of energy.

The evening will give attendees the opportunity to hear different views on the industry and hear from CS Energy who recently announced their hydrogen project in the region.

The development of a viable and long-term hydrogen industry could ensure that our region plays a significant role in securing an increase to the Australian Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of up to $26 billion, with a significant contribution of estimated 16,900 jobs by 2050.

If you are interested to hear how your business or community can benefit from the development of this new exciting energy source, then we recommend you get in early to secure your ticket. Seats are strictly limited.

It is also a great chance to network with like-minded businesses and includes drinks and canapes.
