November Enterprise Evening in Roma
Join us on Thursday, November 21 for the final TSBE Enterprise Evening of 2019. We will be hosting the event at The Big Rig, a tourist attraction in Roma that celebrates the history of Roma being the first place in Australia where natural gas was discovered. Attendees will be able to go on the journey from Australia's first discovery of petroleum, through the boom and bust years of oil and gas exploration and on to today's multibillion-dollar industry.
On the night we will be hearing a regional update from Cr Cameron O'Neil, who is the Portfolio Chair for Facilities, Airports & Events Economic Development & Advocacy for the Maranoa Regional Council. Cameron is passionate about the future of regional Queensland and will be discussing the diversification of our industry bases, including the agriculture, tourism and education sectors. Cameron will be outlining upcoming council works and what potential opportunities these may present, highlighting the Big Rig and Saleyards developments and exciting opportunities in the education space.
Also speaking on the night will be David Atkin, Asset General Manager of Spring Gully and Denison at Origin Energy, who will provide an update on APLNG activities in the region.
Our evening sponsor, MarchNet has a long history of working with businesses in the Maranoa, delivering smarter telecommunications services to support their operations. In the last 6 weeks they have delivered critical communications links to Roma North and Atlas Gas Compressor stations, adding to their extensive network coverage in the region.
2019 has been a huge year for business for the TSBE community. This enterprise evening will be our last for 2019, and a chance to enjoy a night of networking with the wider TSBE community, and to celebrate the year that was and look ahead to the opportunities available in 2020.
The next Enterprise Evening is scheduled for February 2020.
