Surat Basin News: TSBE Resource and Infrastructure Capability Directory, new industry safety program, and AccessChina'16 for energy and resources businesses

For members:

In the coming months, we will be calling out to members to update our Resource and Infrastructure Capability Directory. The directory is for firms involved with any supply chain activity within the resources, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. We had over 310 entries last year, providing a fantastic database for companies looking for suppliers. Stay tuned... more information to come.

For your procurement team:

New Industry Safety Induction

On July 1st, the 'Safer Together Industry Safety Induction (ISI)' program went live across the CSG sector providing all new starters with a ticket to work for any operator including Arrow, Santos, Senex Energy, QGC and Origin LNG, and also any contractors across the industry.

The one-day program aims to educate and familiarise all workers about the accepted set of working behaviours and safety requirements that have been agreed upon by more than 80 industry operators and contractors.

All starters will be required to complete, to a satisfactory standard, the training prior to working in the Queensland Natural Gas Exploration and Production Industry.

TSBE can put you in touch with a local training provider to outline the course. For more information visit www.safertogether.com.au

For business owners involved with the energy & resources sector:

China depends significantly on Australia’s resources exports and there is a recent shift in focus with China actively seeking innovative technologies, services and equipment to improve their mining production, efficiency, safety and environmental sustainability standards. For Australia’s highly advanced Energy and Resource sector, this is a great opportunity for new business ventures in China. To accelerate your journey towards accessing these ventures, you need to attend TSBE's AccessChina'16 Business Delegation to Shanghai, China in October this year. This history-making delegation, leaving from our very own Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport, will give attendees on the ground experience and contacts and position your business ready to activate opportunities in China. Visit www.accesschina16.com.au for more information.
