Roma Commerce and Tourism (RCAT)

Commerce Roma aims to provide networking, advocacy, information and promotions for the current and future business community. We aim to increase confidence, knowledge and support for businesses in the Maranoa in order to build a sustainable local economy. Commerce Roma is managed by a volunteer committee of local business owners and managers, supported by the services of a contracted Executive Officer. The organisation has seen a constant and steady increase in membership, which has allowed more activities and services to be undertaken for the benefit of members and the broader community.

As the peak body representing businesses and commerce in the Maranoa, membership encompasses businesses from all areas in the Maranoa Regional Council area.  Members have the opportunity to host a networking event to showcase their business to invited guests and other Members. We help to promote and support this event.

Commerce Roma shares and promotes member pages, posts and profiles as well as calendar events, hot topics and information on various platforms. We work with our media partners to offer our Members exclusive, discounted rates on advertising and promotional opportunities.

Commerce Roma works with many organisations and groups to benefit Members. The Chamber has strong relationships with the Maranoa Regional Council, State Development, and our local Members of Parliament along with many more. We work with groups, clubs and NFP organisations on a regular basis to promote and support our community.

The Chamber hosts the annual Maranoa Business Awards. These reward and promote businesses who are achieving across the Maranoa. We also participate in other industry events.

Commerce Roma partners with several groups to deliver free or subsidised training to businesses. We work to bring relevant topics to help develop and grow our Members- businesses.
