Join us on Wednesday, October 16 for a special Enterprise Evening at the South Queensland Energy & Resources Expo to hear from leading speakers on the topic of energy and resources, their future in our region, and current opportunities within the sector.  

Following on from Day 1 of the Expo, this Enterprise Evening will feature a triple header with the following speakers; 

Rick Wilkinson, Head of Consulting for EnergyQuest
Rick Wilkinson is Head of Consulting for EnergyQuest, an energy advisory firm. He has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Rick will be providing an update on domestic gas and export developments happening nationally and in our region, as well as his views on future demands and potential inhibitors.

Anna Freeman, Director Energy Generation at the Clean Energy Council
Anna is Director Energy Generation at the Clean Energy Council and is responsible for leading policy and advocacy for the wind and large-scale solar sectors. Anna will be providing an update on projects happening nationally and in our region for the renewable energy industry. 

Andrew Barger, Policy Director - Infrastructure & Economics for the Queensland Resources Council 
The Queensland Resources Council is a not-for-profit peak industry association representing the commercial developers of Queensland’s minerals and energy resources. QRC works to secure an environment conducive to the long-term sustainability of minerals and energy sector industries in Queensland.
Andrew will be discussing the topic of Resourcing the future. The world wants what Queensland has. Energy, metals, minerals are the building blocks of economic growth and new technologies are driving up demand, particularly in Queensland’s traditional markets in South East Asia.  Are we doing all we could to grab these opportunities in Queensland?

Each speaker will then partake in a Q&A panel discussion. 

If you are around earlier, come and hear about Shell’s new Local Supplier Portal and how your business can get involved. Shell’s HSSE staff will also share what health and safety practices they look for in the tender phase, and how you can embed safety into your workplace culture. This will be from 4pm - 5pm.
