September Enterprise Evening 2025 - Toowoomba

Join us for our September Enterprise Evening on Thursday, 4 September in Toowoomba at Gip's Restaurant. Special thanks to our event sponsors, Carousel Consulting and Q5.

The evening’s theme will centre on What It Takes to Imagine and Deliver the City of Tomorrow.

We are pleased to be welcoming keynote speaker, Nalin Mehrotra, Consultant Director from global consultancy firm Q5 to share insights from one of the world’s most ambitious city-building initiatives currently underway in the Middle East, NEOM. He'll discuss what it really takes to plan and deliver for the future, exploring how strategy, leadership, and execution come together in a fast-moving, high-stakes environments and the lessons Toowoomba can draw as it plans for the future.

The evening will include a panel discussion with panellists:

About our panellists:

Sal Petroccitto OAM, Chief Executive Officer, Toowoomba Regional Council

Sal started his working life as a Land Use Planner and has recently joined Council having spent the past 10 years as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.

Awarded the Order of Australia in 2023 for contributions to the road transport industry, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and having held several high-profile roles within various Government agencies, Sal is delighted to be leading the Toowoomba Regional Council.

Denis Wagner, Director, Wagner Corporation 

Denis secured his first full time job as a cement tester in the laboratory at the Darra cement works for Queensland Cement and Lime, and has since managed quarrying operations, construction projects and filled various leadership roles including Managing Director of Wagners during the span of his 40 year career.
Civil Construction projects under Denis' leadership have included the multi-million-dollar Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport, Wellcamp Business Park, Wagner Pinkenba Wharf and several industrial and residential developments.
