Delivering an efficient transport network is critical to the success of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018). A successful transport operation is critical to the success of the Games, with over 6,600 athletes, officials, volunteers, 50,000 workforce and around 1.5 million ticketed spectators expected to attend events. The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) is working with the Department of Transport and Main Roads and the City of Gold Coast to jointly plan the transport operations for GC2018. Grant and Dale will provide an overview of the Draft Transport Operations Plan. The plan follows the Transport Strategic Plan and provides further detail regarding transport operations during GC2018.
