Chinchilla Enterprise Evening guests to hear from QGC on projects and operations in the region

BUSINESS LEADERS and residents are invited to the upcoming Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise Chinchilla Enterprise Evening to hear from QGC on a range of operations in the region.

QGC General Manager, Upstream Integration, Bill Langin, will be speaking about opportunities in QGCs operations for suppliers and employment.

Mr Langin was appointed to the position in July last year and has oversight of land access, wells, projects, engineering, and integrated asset planning.

Mr Langin said "QGC is proud to be creating economic opportunities in Queensland and the Western Downs. We have developed competitive pathways for local businesses to register their interest in supplying to us".

"We have developed competitive pathways for local businesses to register their interest in supplying to us," he said.

"QGC are one of Australia’s leading natural gas producers, focussed on developing Queensland’s world class on-shore gas reserves."

In 2017 QGC will supply more than more than 10% of Australia’s east coast gas demand and 40% of Queensland demand.

Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise executive chairman Shane Charles said Enterprise Evenings were an opportunity to learn about key developments in the region and network with the wider industry representatives.

“We saw at the National Energy Summit just how many projects are underway or in the pipeline in the Western Downs and Surat Basin across the energy mix,” Mr Charles said.

“This session will see QGC map supplier and employment pathways for their operations, something our TSBE Supply Chain team work to link our members with and increase opportunities to be part of the work available.”

The Chinchilla Enterprise Evening will be held on August 10 from 5.30–8.30pm at the Chinchilla RSL Memorial Club at 61 Heeney St, Chinchilla.

Cost is $55 for members or $95 for non-members.
