Revealed: 21 businesses aboard Access Hong Kong delegation

Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise, and Food Leaders Australia, has revealed 21 businesses looking to unlock their global opportunity in Hong Kong in September this year.

Now just 15 weeks away, TSBE and FLA has seen delegates sign-up for Access Hong Kong across councils, agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, finance and services as well as law firms.

TSBE executive chairman Shane Charles said initial bookings for Access Hong Kong had been positive, with almost twice that number having expressed interest in the trip.

“We’re expecting additional councils to sign up in the coming weeks as well as representation from both sides of the Queensland government,” Mr Charles said.

“We are particularly excited for the opportunities for professional firms for Hong Kong in the business sector, looking at capital raising, the appetite of global investors and finance.”

Hong Kong places itself as the gateway to China and Asia, and this trip is taking our agriculture & food, energy & resources, logistics and education cohorts direct to their potential future markets and opportunities.

Mr Charles said agriculture was also a clear focus for the trip with a site tour to Asia Fruit Logistica planned.

From September 3-7, the “Queen of the skies”, a Qantas, B747-400 will fly more than 200 delegates from our region and beyond, on the Access Hong Kong trip, subject to government and regulatory approvals.

Last year we unlocked $350million in business opportunities, while this year a Free Trade Agreement looks set to be established for Hong Kong.
