Throughout the week of FarmFest, Heart of Australia, through its partnership with Arrow Energy, will deliver free health checks to the community.
Toowoomba Surat Basin Enterprise and Arrow Energy invite you to join us on 3 June from 6pm at the Spotted Cow, Toowoomba, to celebrate the work of Heart of Australia in the community.
Since 2014, Arrow Energy’s foundation partnership with Heart of Australia has brought specialist services and health programs to rural, remote, and First Nations communities through their six custom-designed, clinics-on-wheels – the Heart Trucks.
To date, the service has seen more than 20,000 patients across 33 communities and saved around 800 lives.
Heart health in rural Australia
Outside of our major cities, heart health is a major risk factor. People living in rural and remote areas are:
- 44% more likely to die of a heart attack
- 70% more likely to die of heart failure
- 31% more likely to die of a stroke.
Join us to help raise awareness of this vital lifesaving service in regional areas.
